just got the cheapest most basic plan (think it was 13.xx/mth). the wifi at ikoma is not reliable. truth to be told, i could have just gone home in a heartbeat to study. but i guess i'm easily distracted, and i feel just all too slightly too comfortable at home.
so i lug all my barang to ikoma, such a heavy bag, i must say, and then just camp there. food at orchard is expensive, so it's really hard to have a real camping plan. case in point, i was starving by 5pm, so i had to take a trip to Mos burger just to have something to tide me over.
but i guess there are options, it's just the price to pay. so i guess i can try to be slightly nonchalant about it.
love the coffee i'm making, yikes, and i'm not even making it right cos i'm always in a rush :X. but i've tested the huawei stick (with a sim card inside, nice!), and it seems to at least be able to stream somafm, which is like my essential work/study music/tool.
the 3G roaming for US and Japan seems to be 5 cents per 10kb, so for an average 100kb page, it would be 50 cents easily. I guess i'm not that bored, but for that all important phone number or text, i guess that's a small price to pay.
well, it's a 2-year contract, and i wonder if it will be worth it, but i guess that's all there is to it. i'm reasonably excited :)
