my thoughts on the "bear stunt" viral in Singapore

My first reaction towards this "viral" was that it reminded me of the "aqua teen hunger force" viral that brought Boston down to its knees.

I honestly think that taxpayers' monies should be better spent, but then again, who could have thought that it would be so "effective". That's right, these viral promotion companies want their silly ideas to achieve instant fame, so they actually wanted things to go the way they'd wanted to. So a small prank that costs little, with the help of the MSM, social media, and the police/other civil service, they get the huge publicity boost and attention that they really crave.

But really, at what price? Not with my taxpayer's dollar.

And besides, at least the "aqua teen" silly campaign made a little sense, except that their little device resembles a bomb (although there were no traces of explosives, so that should have made it pretty clear). But a bear in urban singapore is no joke. And of course, the zoo with so many animals escaped from it is reasonably anxious and panicked, and possibly call for all the help that they could have got.

And at the end of the day, can ANYBODY, just anybody, clue me in on how a bear has got anything to do with a shaver?
