I'm currently watching "Perfect Report" (パーフェクト・リポート), "Iryu 3" (医龍３), "Guilty" (悪魔と契约した女) and "Second Virgin" (セカンド・バージン).

Guilty is kinda a mixed bag of things. The plot is kinda, I guess the ever popular Keiji Drama, but there ain't really something for me to catch on to. I guess I'm only catching it cos of the ever kakko ii Hiroshi Tamaki　(玉木宏）, but I don't think I can just bio him if the plot and setting is just that.

As for Iryuu. Of course there is the fangirl material 坂口憲二standing half naked against strong floodlight, drenched in sweat, visualising the surgery and moving his arms, just like a conductor orchestrating music. That can work. The plot doesn't change too much, the characters got a lot more "extreme" and manga/cartoon like, but I guess I can still bear with it. There are still the ever pretty 稲森泉, ever gentle uncle 佐々木蔵之介, and cutey 金髪　阿部サダヲ. Of course, I'm missing cute nurse 水川麻美, but ah well. I am possibly not watching it for anything other than just to stare at Sakaguchi, or just to look at Izumi and think of momo-chan in Long Vacation.

Now for the top two tie. It's kinda a really tough toss-up. I think 鈴木京香　is really charming (last caught her in pandora 2, she was this strange cop, who tries to sleep around to get promoted), and of course, 松雪泰子 is ever so awesome. So for the main actress, Perfect Report 1, Second Virgin 0. But for the main actor, 小出惠介 vs 長谷川博己, I don't think i like either of them.

Now for the plot. I think Perfect Report is kinda formulaic. Kokko ii strong reporter, a very cool female, trying to get a scoop in news. This is almost like Amami Yuki's role in newscaster. I mean, both Amami Yuki and Matsuyuki Yasuko are really solid actresses who look the characters they act. As for Second Virgin, it's not anything groundbreaking either, since it's about "cougar" love and such.

It's sorta amusing too that the opening episode for Perfect Report involves the Prime Minister. That entire set up just looks like the one in "Change" (Kimura Takua/Fukatsu Eri/Abe Hiroshi). It's kinda so major LOL, it seems like they never got rid of the "Prime Minsiter Office" or something, and just keep using it.

Now you can see why it's a difficult tie. But personally, I like Matsuyuki just that much more, so that tips it over just a bit. I mean, Matsuyuki can really bring out the character well. Some says that she's not pretty, but I think she's "my type", and I'm very easily drawn into her dramas.

That said, Perfect Report (Fuji) got a solid beating by Dr. Dolittle (TBS) on that Sunday 9pm slot. I think TBS got a 16 point rating (Kanto) and Fuji only got a 6.6 rating. That's kinda sad. Matsuyuki, 頑張ってね！

I've yet to catch 流れ星 and Dr. Dolittle. I just think Dr. Dolittle is those, very erm, dramas. I don't know how to think about it, but I guess I will watch to find out.

It's always times like this that makes me think that a drama like Mother is really hard to come by, and I would really think the entire "perfect team" behind Mother would be remembered, and remain really proud for years to come.
